People's Choice Awards 2015 announce hosts Anna Faris and Allison Janney

November 4, 2014 – Nominees for PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS 2015 were revealed this morning at The Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills. People's Choice Awards Executive Producer Mark Burnett introduced the hosts for the live awards show, Anna Faris and Allison Janney, stars of the CBS sitcom "Mom."

"We are thrilled to have Anna and Allison as hosts of our show," said Executive Producer Mark Burnett. "Our job is to entertain our audience, and these actresses have such chemistry and comedic timing that no matter who wins, everyone will be having fun."

On hand to announce the nominees were Dave Annable ("Red Band Society"), John Cho ("Selfie"), Katharine McPhee ("Scorpion"), Dylan McDermott ("Stalker"), Cristin Milioti ("A to Z"), Gina Rodriguez ("Jane the Virgin") and Bellamy Young ("Scandal").

Voting begins today for all 58 categories exclusively on, Facebook, and mobile applications, and will end at 11:59 PM EST on December 4, 2014. Winners will be revealed during the live broadcast of PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS 2015 from the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 (9:00-11:00 PM, ET/delayed PT) on the CBS Television Network.

This year fans cast over 70 million votes to determine the nominees. Shailene Woodley leads the list of movie nominations with four acting nods. She is twice nominated in "Favorite Movie Duo," once with her Divergent co-star Theo James, and again with her The Fault in Our Stars co-star, Ansel Elgort. "Grey's Anatomy," "Supernatural" and "The Vampire Diaries" lead the list of TV nominees with five each, while breakout artist Sam Smith dominates music with four nominations. Two stars have crossed genres, Lucy Hale for "Favorite Female Country Artist" and "Favorite Cable TV Actress", and Melissa McCarthy for "Favorite Movie Actress" and "Favorite Comedic TV Actress." Craig Ferguson and David Letterman are both nominees for "Favorite Late Night Talk Show" during their farewell seasons.

An official partner of PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS 2015, KING's HAWAIIAN presented the live stream of this morning's event, featuring TV stars announcing the nominees across all 58 categories. KING's HAWAIIAN the official snack of the 2015 awards show season, was also on hand to offer breakfast to the talent, crew and fans at the press conference. The People's Choice Awards would like to invite everyone to visit to vote for their favorites in movies, music and TV. Below includes the complete list of nominees.


Anna Faris starred in and Executive Produced the feature films "The House Bunny" (with an original idea conceived by Faris) and "What's your Number." Her additional film credits include "The Dictator," "Lost in Translation," "I Give It A Year," "Observe & Report," "Brokeback Mountain," "Smiley Face," "Yogi Bear," "Take Me Home Tonight," "Mama's Boy," "Just Friends," "Waiting," "Frequently Asked Questions About Time Travel" and "Scary Movie," and it's following sequels "Scary Movie 2," "Scary Movie 3" and "Scary Movie 4."

Her feature film voice work credits include the animated "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs" and the sequel "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2," and "Alvin & The Chipmunks: The Squeakquel."

On television, Faris has had recurring roles on "Entourage" portraying herself, and on the final season of "Friends," playing the surrogate for Monica and Chandler's twins.


Allison Janney recently earned both an Emmy and a Critic's Choice Award for her hilarious and insightful role on "Mom," and another Emmy and Critic's Choice Award for her multi-episode arc on the ground breaking series "Masters of Sex;" putting her in the record books for accomplishing all this in the same year.

Her latest feature film credits are "The Way, Way Back," "Tammy" and "Bad Words," as well as the animated film "Mr. Peabody & Sherman." Upcoming features include "Spy," "The D.U.F.F." and "The Rewrite." Among other acclaimed films, Janney has co-starred in "The Help," "Juno," "Hairspray," "American Beauty," "The Hours," "Nurse Betty," "Drop Dead Gorgeous," "10 Things I Hate About You," "Primary Colors," "The Ice Storm," and "Big Night." She also voiced the characters of "Gladys" in the animated film "Over the Hedge," and "Peach" in "Finding Nemo."

Janney's big break came with her starring role as White House Press Secretary CJ Cregg in the critically acclaimed series "The West Wing," for which she won four Emmy Awards and four SAG Awards. On stage she made her Broadway debut in Noel Coward's "Present Laughter" for which she earned the Outer Critics Circle Award and Clarence Derwent Award. She was nominated for a Tony in Arthur Miller's "A View from the Bridge," and won the Outer Critics Circle Award. Janney was last seen on Broadway starring in the musical "9 to 5," for which she earned her second Tony nomination and won the Drama Desk Award.


Now in its 41st year, the People's Choice Awards is the only major awards show voted on entirely by the public for fan favorites in movies, music and television. The People's Choice official website at houses the voting platform where fans determine the categories, nominees and winners for the annual awards show. Every year, potential nominees are determined by national ratings averages, box-office grosses, music sales and data, then vetted through EPoll Market Research. Fred Nelson is the President of People's Choice, and Mark Burnett and Jane Mun are the Executive Producers of the awards show. The awards show, and digital, mobile and social extensions of the brand are owned by Procter & Gamble, and produced by United Artist Media Group (UAMG) a joint venture among MGM, Mark Burnett, Roma Downey and Hearst Corporation.
