Anthony Hamilton & Musiq Soulchild'Playin It Cool' This Summer

<p>April 29, 2009</p> <p>So So Def/Jive Records platinum recording artist <strong>Anthony Hamilton</strong><strong> </strong>is confirmed to headline the extended &#34;<strong>Playin' It Cool</strong>&#34; tour, a continuation of last year's successful dates. During the original tour, Hamilton performed his classic hits and new cuts from his current project <em>The Point of It All </em>(December, 2008). While the first tour showcased the artist in intimate venues, the extended tour will feature larger venues and the additional artist - <strong>Musiq Soulchild</strong>.</p> <p>The tour comes as <strong>Hamilton</strong> promotes his newest single and title track from his current project, &#34;<strong><em>The Point Of It All</em></strong>,&#34; and his previous hit, &#34;<strong>Cool</strong>&#34; featuring David Banner. <strong>&#34;Cool&#34; </strong>remains a Top 10 staple on Urban Adult Contemporary radio airplay charts. Widely known for his electric, soul-inspiring live performances <strong>Hamilton</strong> has gained a steady and loyal fan base throughout his career beginning with his 2003 platinum-certified debut album <strong><u>Comin' From Where I'm From</u></strong>, which spawned the chart-topping song, &#34;<strong><em>Charlene</em></strong>.&#34; In 2005, the Charlotte, North Carolina native followed up with his gold-certified sophomore album <strong><u>Ain't Nobody Worryin,' </u></strong>featuring number<strong> </strong>1 hit, &#34;<strong><em>Can't Let Go</em></strong>.&#34;In addition to the accolades the seven-time Grammy nominee has earned for his albums and live shows, <strong>Hamilton</strong> won his first Grammy Award this year for his collaboration on Al Green's, <strong>&#34;<em>You Got The Love I Need</em>.&#34;</strong><strong> </strong></p> <p>Atlantic Records recording artist <strong>Musiq</strong> <strong>Soulchild</strong> joins the &#34;Playin It Cool&#34; tour only months after the release of his fifth album, <strong><u>OnMyRadio</u></strong>. His success has flourished throughout the years, earning him multiple guest appearances on albums and soundtracks, crucial media coverage, and attention from some of the top corporations of today. The platinum-selling artist, famous for his rhythmic ballads and trademark style, continues to make his mark on the Billboard charts with the release of the first two singles off this new album, <strong><em>&#34;IfUleave (feat. Mary J Blige)&#34; </em></strong>and <strong><em>&#34;Sobeautiful&#34;</em></strong>.
